What it does Restores files and directories that were previously deleted by using SpartaDOS' DEL (Erase) and DELDIR (RD) commands, or similar commands such as xErase. When to use it Use UnDelete to recover files that you may have accidentally deleted or to recover files that contain information you need to recover. Why UnDelete? I have UnErase. The three main reasons:
Attribute selection UnDelete uses SpartaDOS' file attributes. For example, to list deleted files on drive 1 with the archival bit set, use: UnDel +a D1: /l. There has to be at least one deleted file in the directory with the archive bit set, otherwise UnDelete will tell you that it found no deleted directory entries on the disk even though there may be deleted files in the directory. To be able to take advantage of this feature, you must have had deleted the files or directories with xErasexErase retains files and directory attributes. Command-line Switches:
To obtain a compete list of command-line switches, and in the event you may have acquired an updated version, type UnDel[return] at the command-line for syntax. |
